Find What Works: What Works Clearinghouse

What is this resource?
The What Works Clearinghouse is a searchable database of interventions in the areas of children and youth with disabilities, dropout prevention, early childhood education, English language learners, literacy, math, science, student behavior, and teacher and leader effectiveness. In each case, you can look at the intervention’s effectiveness, the extent of evidence, the delivery method (from individual to large group), the program type, and the demographics of those who were involved in the intervention studies (gender, race, and region).

Why is it valuable?
Educators are consistently asked to use evidence-based practices in their classrooms. The What Works Clearinghouse provides educators with the information necessary to make an informed choice about a variety of interventions.
