Engaging all in data conversations

What is this resource?
This 45-page document provides thorough guidance and resources to engage families and parents in discussions about data. The document and tools are separated into two sections. The first focused on what data is the most important to share. The second focuses on how to present student data in a meaningful way.

Why is it valuable?
Decision-making in our schools should be data driven, but we don’t always know how or what to communicate to the families of our students and how to make those data meaningful. This document provides guidance through straight-forward guidance and tools. In addition, the document recognizes that students come from a variety of backgrounds but that all families are interested in understanding those data that link to their child’s needs and accomplishments.
