Transformative Leaders Institute

The Transformative Leaders Institute is a part of SWIFT Education Center’s National Leaders Consortium, uniting educators with national advisors and SWIFT staff to exchange ideas, strategize pathways toward educational justice, and enhance their leadership capacity.

The Transformative Leaders Institute (TLI), a project of the Center for Education Equity (CEE) at MAEC and SWIFT Education Center, brings together state, district, school, and community leaders in an intensive, collaborative professional learning experience focused on developing and sustaining leadership practices that advance just and equitable outcomes for all learners. The TLI empowers education leaders to grow their capacity to create and sustain caring, rigorous schools where every student is centered and valued. 

This year, the theme of the TLI is Leading Transformation: A Framework for Collective Success.

The Transformative Leaders Institute is developed from a project led in conjunction with the Center for Education Equity (CEE) at MAEC.

Through this experience, participants will:

Create space for collaborative learning toward advancing transformative leadership practices. 

Strengthen networks and build relationships that support transformative leadership in complex societal contexts.

Strengthen participants’ capacity to lead systemic change efforts to ensure that all students, particularly historically marginalized students, experience high-quality learning and achieve academic and social success.

Guide personalized planning to strengthen participants’ transformative leadership in their local settings.
